New Year 08
The New Year is here and it is time to start that winter training for the summer touch season. Weekly runs are occuring down in San Diego at the Torrey Pines high School Dog Park (1030am Sat) and in Manhattan beach at Live Oak park (2pm Sat).
Get your team together for the touch tourney associated with it this year. For details see out Tournament page. USA Nationals are coming up end of Oct or start of Nov. No date set yet but be prepared for travel to Houston this year.

First ever Galaxy Touch USA tournament!!!
Tournament to be held in San Diego Sept 22nd 2007. All teams welcome for Men's, Women's, and Youth sections. The weekend includes a Friday night training session for any interested coaches and/or teams, USA Touch Rugby meeting, and of course a few extra curricular activities...for more details see our Tournament page.
USFIT National Championships: Portland Oregon: July 28/29 (piggy-backing the Oregon Brewfest!).
Portland A takes out final of USA Touch Rugby/Football Nationals over Portland B. Sadly, Galaxy Touch San Diego team ran out of steam in their semi-final against Portland B and were beaten in the closing minutes...more details to come.
Victoria Touch Rugby Tournament 2007
Galaxy Touch USA team from SoCal made the trip up to scenic Victoria, BC. A huge weekend of touch rugby running all day Saturday was enjoyed by all. The team managed to make the final and go down to Portland. After three games on the trot we ran out of steam and were easily beaten...bring on Nationals in Portland on July 28th.
More from this event will be posted in the coming week, including video and photos...thanks to all those who invested a lot of time and effort in running the event (http://www.veloxrugby.com/). We can't wait for next year. Rumor is we'll all be able to camp at the grounds!
World Cup 2011 Scotland
The Scottish Touch Association (STA) are hosting the next Touch World Cup in Edinburgh in 2011. It is estimated that more than 20 countries and over 1,000 players, managers, coaches and referees from around the world will be represented at the event. The World Cup will be held in the summer of 2011 at Goldenacre, home of Heriot’s RFC.
